The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in the setup of CNC Swiss machines for production runs, including loading materials, securing workpieces, and installing toolingLearn to interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to understand machining requirementsAssist in the operation of CNC Swiss machines to produce parts with tight tolerances and complex geometriesLearn basic CNC programming skills to input tool offsets, adjust machine settings, and perform minor program editsPerform basic maintenance tasks on CNC Swiss machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged componentsMonitor machining processes and make adjustments as directed by senior operators or supervisors to ensure quality and efficiencyInspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specificationsAssist in troubleshooting machining issues and identifying opportunities for process improvementAdhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper handling and operation of CNC machines and equipmentMaintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and productive work environmentRequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity, with the ability to operate hand tools and machineryAbility to learn and follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelinesAttention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workWillingness to learn and develop new skills in CNC machining and programmingEffective communication and teamwork skillsEDUCATIONHigh school diploma2-year technical certification or equivalent experience preferred.LOCATIONOnsiteSCHEDULEM-Th; 5:00pm - 6:00amWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
