Inspect and follow up on maintenance requests, EHSR matters, facilities, and related items. Assist with the coordination of fleet and research vehicles. Provide professional support and backup support for Operations Office. Acquire and coordinate safety and building equipment, furnishings, and related items.Responsibilities:Facilities:Serve as the primary Operations Liaison with Facility Coordinators, Project Managers, and departmental staff for Zachry Education Engineering Complex and the surrounding Engineering buildings, supporting small projects and meetings related to facilities concerns and associated projects. Facilities activities such as coordination of space, reconfigurations, improvements, and upgrades. Professional position responsible for the coordination of agency facilities and environmental health and safety matters. Follow up with maintenance requests to ensure appropriate action is taken in a timely manner. Assist with space assignments. Safety:Assist with coordination of agency environmental, health, safety, and risk (EHSR) matters and safety activities such as safety training, acquiring safety equipment, documentation of EHSR matters, etc. Acquire and coordinate safety and building equipment, furnishings, and related items. Administrative:Attend conferences and meetings as needed. Assist with development and upkeep of distribution lists. Assist with the coordination of fleet and research vehicles. Provide professional and backup support for Operations Office. Other duties as assigned. What we need:Associate’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of related experience. What is helpful:Experience with facilities management and safety. Experience in project management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
