Patient Care:Prepare equipment, prep patients for procedures, and explain the examination process. Review patient history to identify the purpose of the examination and frame the clinical question the exam should answer. Image Analysis:Review images for quality and accuracy, expand the exam as needed based on findings, and report preliminary findings to physicians. Technical Expertise:Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and image quality. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Documentation:Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information in compliance with regulatory standards. Team Collaboration:Work closely with cardiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and accurate diagnostic results.Key Requirements and Technology Experience:Key skills; Current RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification Current BLS certification (within 30 days of hire) Experience in basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound services Strong technical and patient care skills Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program OR 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification. Less than 1 year of experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Certification/Licensure: • Must hold one of the following certifications at time of hire: RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Certification: • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills:Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to expand exams based on clinical findings.
