HR Admin Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Admin Assistant for a temporary opportunity in Fallbrook, CA. This role supports a public sector human resources team with administrative tasks related to recruiting, onboarding, employee files, benefits, reports, and confidential HR documentation. This is a great opportunity for an administrative professional who enjoys organized, meaningful work in a stable, community-focused environment. The HR Admin Assistant will work under the direction of HR leadership and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and employees while helping ensure HR processes run smoothly and professionally. The ideal candidate is highly organized, discreet with confidential information, comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office, and able to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced office setting. Key Responsibilities - Maintain employee personnel files, confidential records, job description binders, and other HR documentation in an accurate and organized manner. - Support recruiting activities by preparing interview materials, organizing candidate documents, filing interview notes, and drafting job offer letters. - Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding, including preparing schedules, completing paperwork, filing documents, and submitting benefit enrollment forms. - Draft and gather employee letters and documents related to leaves of absence, accommodations, separations, and other HR matters. - Support HR reporting, open enrollment preparation, employee recognition programs, vendor coordination, and meeting or event setup. - Perform general administrative duties including copying, faxing, shipping preparation, internet research, and special projects as assigned. Compensation and Benefits - Pay Rate: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour. - Job Type: Temporary. - Location: Fallbrook, CA. - Work Environment: Office-based role within a public sector environment.
