Position SummarySuffolk Transportation is seeking an IT Specialist responsible for cybersecurity, network andfiber infrastructure, and hands-on end-user support across office and operational environments.Key ResponsibilitiesCybersecurity & Systems Protection• Monitor and maintain endpoint protection, firewalls, MFA, and email security.• Respond to security incidents, alerts, and potential threats.• Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, and access controls.Network & Fiber Infrastructure• Support fiber, structured cabling, switches, routers, and firewalls.• Troubleshoot network outages and performance issues.• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for installs and repairs.End-User Support• Provide desktop, laptop, printer, and application support.• Support Windows OS, Microsoft 365, email, and VoIP phones.• Onboard and offboard users, including training and access provisioning.Required Qualifications:• 3+ years of IT support experience.• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals.• Experience in fiber or structured cabling environments.Preferred Qualifications:• Cybersecurity experience and CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security+).• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and PowerShell scripting.Salary Range:$75,000.00 - $105,000.00
