Location: Denver, CO (REMOTEDuration: 05/18/2026 – 05/31/2027Openings: 2Role OverviewSeeking a hands-on Network Security Administrator to support secure and compliant network operations across state agencies. This role focuses on firewall administration, incident handling, infrastructure support, and compliance alignment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and execute Firewall Service Requests (FSRs), change requests, and break-fix ticketsConfigure and support Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewallsImplement and maintain security policies, NAT, and VPN configurationsMonitor network traffic and troubleshoot security/network issuesSupport hardware lifecycle activities, including EOL refreshEnsure compliance with IRS, FBI, and CJI standardsParticipate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as needed Required Skills (Must Have)Strong experience with:Palo Alto Firewalls (Zones, Policies, NAT, S2S VPN)Cisco ASA Firewalls (configuration and troubleshooting)Solid understanding of:Networking fundamentals (routing, subnetting, OSI model, TCP/IP)Experience with:Firewall requests, incident handling, and change managementKnowledge of security compliance standards (IRS, FBI, CJI) Preferred SkillsExperience in government or regulated environmentsCertifications (Palo Alto / Cisco Security)Exposure to network monitoring and security toolsExperience with infrastructure upgrades or hardware refresh Additional RequirementsMust be available for on-call rotation and after-hours supportMust pass background checks (criminal, financial, drug test)
