Vehicle Technician

IntroductionWe are looking for an engineering-focused vehicle technician to support the readiness of our fleet vehicles. The vehicle technician will perform maintenance, repairs, and contribute towards the operations of our lab. This includes scheduled service, diagnostics, repair coordination, lab space fit/function, and general upkeep.Required Skills & QualificationsExtensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehiclesMinimum of 2 - 4 years of technician experienceMust have a valid driver's license with a clean/excellent driving recordReliable, self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves work ethosAbility to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverablesTeam playerExcellent written and verbal skillsMust be honest, responsible, and an outstanding communicatorPass a background check, MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check, and drug screenMust comply with the Substance Abuse PolicyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and sit/stand for extended periods (8 hours) depending on the equipment typeForklift and/or gantry operation is required: Current and valid forklift operator certification compliant with Cal/OSHA standardsPrior work experience at client or in client's IndustryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Preferred Skills & QualificationsExperience in an automotive-focused engineering or research lab (i.e. Dyno, Battery, etc.)Knowledge of CAN, wiring diagrams and soldering preferredExperience and ability to tow a car hauler and other large trailers to transport fleet vehiclesTechnical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repairAbility to travel locally and nationally (on occasion)Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesConfigure, set up, maintain, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road usageMay need to travel locally to perform this work from time to timeSync with Shop Foreman to ensure all vehicles are in a "ready" state for demonstration and testing requirementsPerform diagnostics and escalate to the appropriate engineering team if requiredCoordinate and drive the repair processCreate diagnostic test plans as the team sees fitMaintain service records and document quality field reportsMaintain shop facilities, ensure tools are in order, and workspace is in excellent working conditionAssist with parts inventory, location, and organizationBuild an excellent service experience for internal teams and business partnersFor immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex
