Job#: 3036940Job Description:Associate Test EngineerLocation: Milpitas, California (On-site)12 month ContractFully on site60 hour work weeks ( different shifts available)Role OverviewWe are seeking Associate Test Engineers for various positions in manufacturing. These roles involve the testing of new technologies such as optics, opto-mechanical assemblies, electrical systems, alignment, and system integration. You will work on assignments that are moderately complex, requiring judgment to resolve problems and make routine recommendations. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative, continuous learning environment with industry-leading technology.Key Responsibilities* Develop methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies at the system level.Execute set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of wafer or reticle handlers.Test and troubleshoot assemblies and final systems, completing rework as necessary.Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions.Assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.Perform daily work with minimal instruction and general instructions on new assignments.May provide work assignment direction and technical training to peers.Required QualificationsTop Must-Haves:Hands-on experience in systems electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.Experience with systems development and testing, including formulating system level requirements, test specifications and test results.Good oral and written communication, ability to work with little instruction on routine assignments, work extended hours & collaborate across teamsIdeally candidates with background in working with semiconductor robotic tools (reticle and water robot handling experience)Education: A Technical Certificate, AS degree, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline is required.Experience: A minimum of 2 years of related experience is required. This must include hands-on experience in systems electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair. Experience with systems development and testing, including formulating system level requirements, test specifications, and test results is also necessary.Skills: Candidates must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills in English, good organization skills, and a logical approach to problem-solving. The ability to use a variety of fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, calipers, and other testing/measuring instruments is required. The position requires the ability to work in a clean room environment.Preferred QualificationsA BSME, BSEET, or a similar degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.Background in working with semiconductor robotic tools, including reticle and wafer robot handling experience.Work EnvironmentThis role requires the ability to work extended hours, including weekends, across various shifts.
