This role represents and will serve as the sole HR professional within the organization, supporting both full-time employees and high-volume temporary manufacturing staff.The HR Generalist/Manager will own the full HR function, including employee lifecycle management, compliance, payroll coordination, vendor and temp agency management, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and HR operations. This is a true “department of one” role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.This position offers high visibility, organizational impact, and long-term ownership of the HR function within a growing company.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Lifecycle & HR OperationsLead full-cycle onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation, documentation, and exit interviewsPrepare and manage offer letters, employment agreements, termination letters, and HR documentationServe as the primary point of contact for employee HR needs, providing walk-up and scheduled supportSupport employee relations, conflict resolution, and sensitive HR mattersOversee payroll processing and timecard managementCoordinate benefits administration, including open enrollment support, employee inquiries, and vendor liaisonLead annual performance review process (summer cycle) including timeline management, manager support, and documentationOversee FMLA and leave management (vendor-managed, internally governed)Maintain HR compliance, documentation governance, and audit readinessManage E-Verify and HR compliance processesBilingual (Spanish/English) – is a plusRecruitment & Talent AcquisitionManage external recruitment vendorManage full-cycle recruitment for full-time roles, including job postings, screening, interviewing coordination, and offer management for specific roles.Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, define hiring criteria, and support selection decisionsMaintain applicant tracking and ensure a positive candidate experienceWorkforce & Vendor ManagementManage relationships with multiple temp agencies, serving as the primary point of contactOversee high-volume temporary staffing operations, including order management, performance oversight, and issue resolutionHandle vendor negotiations and coordinationSupport turnover management and staffing continuityProcess agency time reports and workforce trackingCompliance, Risk & GovernanceOversee legal and regulatory HR complianceCoordinate with external legal and compliance consultantsManage sensitive employee issues with discretion and professionalismEnsure documentation accuracy and policy adherenceTraining & DevelopmentIdentify training needs and coordinate delivery of compliance trainingSupport manager development through coaching, resources, and guidance on HR best practicesFacilitate new hire orientation and ongoing employee development initiativesOffice & Organizational SupportServe as the central HR presence on-siteProvide walk-up employee supportReduce operational burden on leadershipSupport office coordination and administrative needs as requiredAct as a visible, accessible, and trusted HR partner to the workforceRequired QualificationsProven experience as an HR GeneralistExperience supporting:Full-time employees (FTEs)High-volume temporary/contract workforcesStrong background in:Onboarding and offboardingEmployee relationsPayroll and timekeeping processesPerformance managementVendor and agency managementHigh-turnover workforce environmentsCertifications:The HR Generalist will support core human resources functions including employee relations, recruitment support, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations, while partnering with leadership to foster a positive, high-performance workplace culture. A PHR/SHRM certification is a strong nice-to-have.Language RequirementBilingual (Spanish/English) – is a plus
