This position is responsible for understanding all aspects of a client's banking needs. They are responsible for understanding branch operations as well as deepening customer relationships by offering value-added products and services as applicable. This position will process client transactions, open new accounts, and take/close loan applications at various branch locations (as assigned).Duties:Process customer transactions, such as cashing checks, handle deposits, withdrawals, and cashier's checks, cash advances, property taxes, and wire transfersBalance cash within teller drawer dailyComply with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and guidelines while identifying and reporting any type of suspicious activity or clients to management and/or the Security DepartmentProcess/Order checks and all related products for customersExpand and retain bank customer relationships while growing new relationships from prospective customersEducate new existing customers about features and benefits of bank products and servicesProactively refer customers to appropriate personnelConduct financial consultations with customers and take applications for all consumer loans including home equity line of credit applicationsOpen all consumer and commercial deposit accounts while looking for opportunities to cross-solve potential financial needsAssist in verifying currency shipments, drop-off and night drop deposits, balancing the cash machines, and branch vaultEngage in personal development activities such as online learning and internal/external training to assist in career growthThe position responsibilities outlined above are not meant to be construed as all encompassing. Other duties, responsibilities and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessaryRequirementsMinimum QualificationsThis position requires a high school diplomaMust have reliable transportationPreferred QualificationPrior banking or customer service experiencePrior experience in cash handlingSkillsStrong cash handling abilities, knowledge of appropriate government regulations, comprehensive knowledge of bank products, and operationsMust have excellent communication and listening skills, a strong commitment to providing quality service, and attention to detailRequires dedication to customer service, by responding in a professional manner to customer questions and problemsMust have the ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations and interactions with customers and work effectively in a team settingWork EnvironmentPrimarily office or branch-based environment with standard business hours.
