Wire Cutter - 3rd Shift

Service Wire is a premier manufacturer of industrial, utility, and commercial wire and cable. Our regional manufacturing location in Houston is seeking a conscientious and team-oriented Wire Cutter to join our organization in this full-time position for third shift (11pm - 7:15am).Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCut wire to specified length based on customer requirements Palletize and prepare orders for shipmentRecord all material information to include: item code, damage, reel number, miscuts, location, and cut information, etc.Process orders based on urgency and expedite accordingly Assist with inventory control and maintaining stock levelsMaintain safety standards and clean/organized work environmentAdditional duties as assigned by supervisorQualifications/RequirementsHigh school diploma/GED (General Equivalency Diploma) or one year related industrial experience or equivalent trainingDemonstrate strong basic math and measuring skillsAbility to read, comprehend, and respond to general instructions, direction, and correspondence, both oral and writtenCooperatively works and interacts with various departmentsRegularly stands, bends, and reaches for extended periodsRegularly moves about the facilityRegularly lifts and moves materials up to 50 poundsRegularly uses hand and finger dexterity to adjust and manipulate controls, tools, and objectsOccasionally required to move up to 100 pounds by pushing, pulling, or sliding material, assistance provided as neededVisual inspection of material quality requiredMust be able to work 3rd shift (11pm - 7:15am)
