Job DescriptionStructural Steel Erection EstimatorSteel Constructiongpac is partnered with a well-established Construction company. They are searching for a Structural Steel Estimator . Our client company installs heavy structural steel for the commercial construction industry. Due to continued growth our client company needs to hire Steel Estimator that has experience in heavy structural steel erection projects. Working experience with Tekla EPM and Bluebeam software is a plus.Qualifications for Structural Steel Estimator:5+ years of experience in the structural steel industryProject Experience on Heavy Steel Construction +5,000 TonsKnowledge of current AISC structural codes and standardsDemonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documentsAbility to calculate costs and prepare estimatesExcellent organizational and communication skillsResponsibilities for Structural Steel Estimator:Prepare and review estimates for accuracy and completenessCoordinate and communicate with team membersDevelop and maintain relationships with clientsManage and monitor project budgets and schedulesMonitor and review changes in project scopeEnsure all materials, labor and equipment costs are accurately included in estimatesPrepare accurate material take offsAssist in developing and implementing cost-effective strategiesStructural Steel Estimator Job Functions:Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings and specificationsDevelop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors and subcontractorsIdentify and resolve discrepancies between estimates and actual costMonitor progress of projects and recommend changes to ensure timelines and budgets are metProduce estimates, bids, and proposals for projectsAnalyze materials, labor and equipment costs for accuracy and completenessCompensation/Benefits for Structural Steel Estimator:$110,000 - $130,000+ base salaryImpressive Company BenefitsProfessional Growth to Department Direction availableFor additional information on this opportunity, please contact Nate Otto directly at 605-401-6171Resumes may be confidentially sent to nate.otto@gogpac.com
