Medical Office Receptionist
Oregon Urology Institute is seeking a full time Medical Front Office ReceptionistOregon Urology Institute is one of the largest, most advanced urological centers in the Northwest. Oregon Urology Institute provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies such as robotic surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy.We are looking for someone with excellent people skills as a Medical Front Office Receptionist to join our team. This role will greet patients and schedule patient appointments.Essential Job FunctionsGreet patients and visitors.Check-in patients for appointmentsVerify and update necessary information in the electronic medical record (EMR)Receive payments from patients and issue receipts.Reconcile daily cash box.Work closely with providers and nursing staff.Book, coordinate and reschedule patient appointments.Schedule laboratory testing and outpatient procedures and answers patient questions regarding their appointments and testing.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Supervisor or ManagerRequired QualificationsExcellent Patient Service skills and abilitiesExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills requiredSkill in answering telephone in a pleasant and helpful mannerAbility to multi task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to speak clearly and conciselyHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications1-2 years relevant experienceKnowledge of medical terminology desirableMust have good interpersonal skillsMust have strong communication skills, verbal and writtenMust be flexible and quick learnerExperience working in a windows-based EMR/PM Working knowledge of healthcare insurance.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
