CNC Programmer (5+ Years Experience – Esprit, Lathe Programming)

RAM Precision IndustriesRAM Precision Industries is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled programmer with strong lathe programming and Esprit CAM experience who enjoys solving complex machining challenges and improving manufacturing efficiency.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain CNC programs for lathes
- Review 3D CAD models and blueprints
- Translate design requirements into programs
- Simulate and test programs before release to production
- Determine optimal cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining sequences
- Modify existing programs to improve cycle time, efficiency, and quality
- Analyze job orders and perform required programming calculations
- Collaborate with machinists to reduce setup time and improve productivity
- Ensure programs meet blueprint specifications and safety standards
What We're Looking For:
- Required Experience 5+ years of CNC programming experience
- Strong experience with lathe programming
- Experience with Esprit CAM software
- Experience programming multi-axis CNC machines
- Technical Skills
- Blueprint reading including GD&TCAD/CAM programming
- SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Tooling selection, feeds, and speeds optimization
- Setup documentation and process planning
- Additional Strengths

- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Education & Background
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training, machining certification, or engineering background preferred
- Experience in precision machining or metal manufacturing environments
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Frequent visual focus on detailed machining drawings and programs
