Operations DirectorReports to: CEO and BoardClass: Full TimeLocation: Texas, US.Primary Role: You'll work directly with the CEO to transform operations from a constraint into a competitive edge. The goal is simple: build the delivery engine that lets us close bigger clients, take on more work, and never apologise for quality. The Operations Director is responsible for the development and implementation of processes/policies to improve efficiencies in the operations department.WeInstall.AI is a California-licensed infrastructure installation company headquartered in Silicon Valley. Since 2020, we’ve built a strong operational foundation delivering Low Voltage Data Center infrastructure for hyperscalers. Our coverage has expanded to all Texas.What you'll ownDelivery coordination — bring visibility, predictability, and accountability to every active project so nothing falls through the cracks and clients stay confident.Team structure & hiring — define the roles needed to grow, hire into them, and build a team that performs consistently — not just when the right people have a good week.Scalable workflows — design repeatable processes that remove delivery from being personality-dependent, so we can onboard new clients without burning the team.Quality & standards — define what great output looks like for our company, create the checkpoints to ensure it, and hold the team to it with clarity and consistency.Sales enablement — work closely with the CEO and Sales team so ops capacity and pipeline are always aligned — no more turning down work because we're not set up to handle it.Who you areYou've led operations at a company or client-services business before — you understand the rhythm of projects, scopes, and client expectations.You see the link between operational health and commercial growth — and you've helped a business unlock one through the other.You're comfortable working at CEO level: translating strategic intent into operational reality, and pushing back when priorities conflict.You build teams by raising the bar and bringing people with you — not by replacing everyone or ruling by process alone.You take delivery quality personally. Missed deadlines and vague handoffs bother you more than they bother most people.You managed 200+ humans in stressful and fast paced environments.What success looks likeIn 60 days, we have visibility across all active work and a clear picture of where the gaps are.In 3 months, delivery is reliable enough that sales can confidently close new clients without checking with ops first.In 6 months, operations is the reason clients renew — and the reason we can grow without chaos.Our current operations already has high standards and great quality service.
