IREN's vertically integrated platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and data centers in renewable-rich regions across the U.S. and Canada.The Scheduler/Project Controls Specialist is a key contributor to the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical data center projects supporting next-generation, high-performance compute infrastructure. This role owns the development and maintenance of integrated schedules and cost controls that enable informed, real-time decision-making across complex construction programs. You will work at the intersection of construction, engineering, and advanced cooling and power technologies—helping deliver some of the most technically sophisticated facilities in the industry.With 100% renewable energy, we build, own and operate our own data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever-evolving applications of high-performance computer. Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience scheduling and project controls for large-scale construction projects.Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel; experience with Procore preferred. Strong understanding of critical path method (CPM) and earned value management (EVM). Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, rotational schedule environment.Other important requirements: Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies. Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied.Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools, covering all phases of data center construction, including liquid chip cooling system integration.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams to validate sequencing, durations, milestones, and resource requirements.Monitor schedule performance, identify critical path impacts or delays, and recommend mitigation or recovery strategies to maintain project timelines.Support the development and maintenance of project budgets in alignment with approved scope, schedule, and financial objectives.Track project costs, analyze variances, and assist with earned value management (EVM) and cost performance reporting.Support forecasting activities, including cash flow projections and evaluation of potential cost risks or opportunities.Identify, track, and communicate schedule and cost risks, including impacts related to long-lead equipment and specialized liquid cooling systems.Prepare and distribute regular progress reports, dashboards, and KPIs highlighting schedule adherence, cost performance, and key project risks.Participate in schedule, cost, and risk review meetings to ensure alignment across project teams and stakeholders.Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to align fabrication, delivery, and installation schedules for critical equipment and systems.Support change management processes by incorporating approved scope changes into project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.Contribute to continuous improvement of scheduling and project controls processes, tools, and reporting standards.Stay informed on industry best practices related to data center construction, project controls, and advanced cooling technologies.Job BenefitsAt IREN, we offer a comprehensive, market-competitive total rewards package designed to support employees’ well-being, career advancement, and financial wealth.
