Bridge Engineer

Bridge EngineerAtkinsRalis is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our Atlanta, GA office. Your role will have clear and specified objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables. Duties usually include the following: designs and develops plans and drawings, organizes and conducts engineering investigations and planning work which have a well-defined scope, outlines and prepares relatively straightforward reports of sections of more complex reports, provides engineering services during construction activities, researches feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications, contributes to the development of specifications and permit applications, prepares preliminary man-hour, cost and material quantity estimates, participates in quality control checks, performs field observations of construction where appropriate, and performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary. About you: B.S. or M.S. in Engineering with focus in Structural, 3+ years of experience, EIT is required, be knowledgeable around applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances, be proficient in production software and construction document production, have a passion for engineering and a willingness to grow and learn, possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
