Ensures every estimate reflects real-world installation methods, labor productivity, and jobsite conditions.Perform field walkthroughs to validate scope, assess risk, and confirm constructability. Build labor driven estimates based on production rates and installation approach. Work closely with superintendents, foremen, and project teams to align estimates with execution plans.Develop installation strategies, sequencing, and logistics that support accurate pricing and efficient delivery. Remain engaged through project turnover and execution by supporting change order pricing.Owns estimate accuracy, supports bid strategy, and ensures alignment between estimating and field operations.Lighthouse Electric believes in the growth of their employees and continued educational seminars and opportunities will be provided.Work ExperienceRequired10+ years mechanical construction experience Experience estimating HVAC, piping, and plumbing systemsConceptual estimating and budgeting experience.Experience in taking an estimate from drawing take off to final proposalDemonstrated experience in leading negotiations and sales to clientsDemonstrated experience working with vendors and subcontractorsAbility to manage multiple estimatesAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesPreferred5+ years estimating experienceLead a $25M plus annual sales/estimating teamLarge commercial or industrial project experienceDesign-build experienceEducationPreferred:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldAdditional Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesStrong knowledge of mechanical systemsAbility to read drawings and BIM modelsExperience with estimating softwareExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesSoftware To Be Used Will IncludeAccubid / QuoteSoft / FastPIPE (or similar)Bluebeam RevuRevit / BIM platformsPlan GridMicrosoft ExcelMicrosoft Office ApplicationsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceCompany-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceShort-Term & Long-Term DisabilityLife and AD&D insurance401(k) with 5% company matchPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffAnnual performance reviewsOpportunity to work on large-scale, high-profile projectsEmployee Stock Ownership ProgramWe don't just work for lighthouse-we own it.
