Position Type:Special Education/Special Education ParaprofessionalDate Posted:1/8/2026Location:Stepanski Early Childhood CenterDistrict:Waterford School DistrictPosition: Early Childhood Special Education Para Educator*This is a temporary position that ends 30 days from hire date*Location:Stepanski Early Childhood CenterMinimum Qualifications:Associates Degree preferredHigh School diploma requiredSuccessful experience working with children with special needsBasic computer skillsDemonstrated ability to work with students and manage behaviors individually or within group settings and in a number of varied learning environments (classroom, lunchroom, etc.)Possess the ability to interpret and understand IEP goals and objectivesAbility to implement behavior plans and systems and/or medical plans, including assisting in observing and recording behavioral dataAbility to maintain student confidentiality at all timesSuccessful completion of CPI training and annual certification preferredDemonstrated knowledge in the use of computers and emailAbility to effectively relate with students, staff and parentsAbility to lift and maneuver 50 pounds, unaidedAbility to manage students in individual, small group and whole group situations.
