Please see https://www.mcleanhospital.org/researchJob DescriptionWith supervision and guidance, responsibilities of the Postdoctoral Research Fellow will include:oFocus on intersection between inflammation, trauma, stress and at risk communitiesoIndependently examine questions related to inflammation and metabolism across existing and new datasets with regards to trauma-related disorder outcomesoPerforms independent and highly specialized experimental proceduresoDesigns and implements modifications of research protocolsoTroubleshooting problems and instructing colleagues in highly specialized techniquesoSynthesizes and interprets resultsoPerforms advanced data recording and analysis using various software programs and statistical techniquesoMaintaining organized and detailed records of laboratory experiments in electronic laboratory notebooksoPresentation of results at lab meetings and national conferencesoPreparation and submission of research manuscripts to peer-reviewed journalsoAssisting with preparation of grant applicationsoOther duties as assignedA successful candidate will:oWork independently under general direction of the Principal InvestigatoroBe motivated, meticulous, organized, and detail-orientedoDemonstrate initiative and enthusiasm for learning new techniquesoHave strong analytical and problem-solving skillsoPossess strong technical abilities and computer science skillsoPossess exceptional written and oral communication skills as demonstrated by publications and presentationoPossess the ability to make independent and effective decisions in a timely fashionoPossess competence in research techniques and methodologiesoHave excellent interpersonal skillsoBe a team player who works well with other lab membersAdditional Job Description EDUCATION: A PhD in neuroscience or a related field (or equivalent) If interested in the position, please email a cover letter, CV, and three references to kressler@mclean.harvard.edu. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work will be performed in a fast-paced research laboratory environment, requiring teamwork, collaboration, and flexibility. Must be able to work independently.
