Global Supply Manager, Structures | Supply ChainLocation: Hayward, CA (on-site)About 1XWe build humanoid robots that work alongside people to solve labor shortages and create abundance.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Global Supply Manager to own global sourcing for structural components such as frames, enclosures, and key structural systems. Your work will drive a robust, scalable supply chain that supports the reliable production of next-generation humanoid robots.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute sourcing strategies for structural components including metals, plastics, and compositesIdentify, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers that meet quality, cost, and delivery standardsNegotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to secure favorable agreementsCollaborate with engineering to ensure parts meet mechanical and cosmetic specificationsSupport cost optimization initiatives while ensuring durability and consistencyConduct supplier benchmarking and stay informed on technology and pricing trendsMonitor supplier performance metrics and ensure compliance with contractual termsImplement risk mitigation strategies, including alternate sourcing and diversificationProvide technical support for DFM efforts with a focus on structural systemsManage supplier audits and drive improvements where necessaryWork closely with manufacturing, operations, and quality teams to ensure integrationProven experience in sourcing or procurement of structural parts, castings, sheet metal, or composite materialsStrong technical understanding of structural design and associated manufacturing methodsStrong negotiation skills and a track record of managing supplier relationshipsExperience conducting supplier audits and implementing corrective actionsFamiliarity with ERP systems and sourcing toolsData-driven approach to problem-solving and cost analysisExcellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experienceChinese proficiency is a plusBenefits & CompensationSalary Range: $145,000 - $222,000Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysEqual Opportunity Employer
