Mental Health Therapist
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with clients using evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), art therapy, dance therapy, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose mental health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client sessions and progress.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of mental health therapy.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Current licensure or certification as a mental health therapist (e.g.,LMHCA, LMHC, LSW, LCSW).
- Experience working with diverse populations and addressing various mental health concerns.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as the ICD-9 or DSM-V.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in the field of mental health.
Willingness to see children a plus
