Maintenance TechnicianWeatherford, Texas • Full-Time •Non-ExemptThe Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in keeping JAMAK’s production operations running at peak performance. In this hands-on role, you will install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and process systems—ensuring equipment reliability, workplace safety, and uninterrupted production. This position operates on-site in an on-call capacity, drawing on your technical expertise and independent judgment to solve problems and drive results. You will report directly to the PE Supervisor.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceBenefits eligibility begins the first of the month following 60 days of employmentComprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, AD&D, Critical Illness, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability401(k) retirement savings planPaid vacation plus 9 company-observed holidaysDependent Educational Scholarship Program (eligible after 3 years of service)Enjoy a true work-life balance -no highway gridlock, no hour-long crawls-just more time for the things that matter outside of workKey ResponsibilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, and repair assigned facility and production equipment to ensure optimum performance, usage, and qualityUphold all safety work standards, comply with applicable safety regulations, and maintain clean, organized work areasAssemble, disassemble, convert, and upgrade production lines and support equipment as required for repairs and installationsCoordinate with contractors to repair, install, remove, and/or upgrade equipmentPerform basic PLC operation and, as needed, basic programming tasksConduct trial runs of machinery; fabricate new components, assemblies, part chutes, drops, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment as requiredAssist with equipment installations and execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasksRegularly inspect production lines and proactively identify issues before they impact operationsProvide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment to minimize downtimeCollaborate with technical personnel across departments to improve machinery productivity and uptimeSchedule and generate Preventive Maintenance work orders using MicromainApply a broad range of mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of production machinesRead and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work ordersPerform general plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as neededIdentify and report faulty operations, defective materials, and any unusual conditionsCommunicate effectively with personnel across departments and maintain collaborative working relationshipsPerform other duties as assigned, which may include work in other departments or on auxiliary manufacturing equipmentMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent combination of education and production maintenance experienceMinimum 1 year of manufacturing or industrial maintenance experienceStrong skills in hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems; basic PLC experience required, HVAC knowledge a plusExperience with Injection Molding machinery, high-speed automation equipment, or assembly peripherals strongly preferredDegree or certificate in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred; basic PLC programming experience a bonusValid Texas Driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for the duration of a shift in a moderate-to-loud manufacturing environmentProficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervisionPositive, professional attitude with proven mechanical aptitude and the ability to apply mechanical, electrical, and material principlesJAMAK is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
