Lead Export Compliance Officer

Job DescriptionAs an engineer serving in the role of Lead Export Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring Honeywell operates within the boundaries of export laws and regulations. You will provide export compliance guidance to business units and senior management and facilitate export related matters, ensuring that our operations and transactions comply with all applicable export laws, regulations and international trade controls. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on minimizing risk and cost to the corporation while maintaining alignment with export compliance standards. You will report directly to the leader of our Jurisdiction and Classification (J&C) Team and will work from a Honeywell site on a hybrid work schedule. In this role you will use your engineering expertise to partner with technical and supply chain organizations across the Enterprise to understand their products and technology and to classify them in order to facilitate compliant exports and acquisitions of products between US and non-US entities, and to enable technical collaboration between international teams. You will add value to the business by playing a significant role in developing and improving on export classification processes and tools to enable efficient adherence to export regulations and will support our organization’s goals by administering key elements of the J&C Program.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead development and implementation of export classification policies, procedures, tools, training and documented guidance to ensure regulatory Provide guidance to business units on complex export compliance matters, primarily focusing on export classification related issues.Advise management on export compliance risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation. Lead internal investigations to address potential export compliance violations and define and implement corrective actions, as necessary.Lead assessments of export classification determination accuracy and policy/procedure adherence to confirm the health of the Jurisdiction and Classification Program. Monitor changes in export regulations, communicate relevant updates to stakeholders and manage actions to address impacts of regulatory changes.Work with cross-functional teams to ensure export compliance in business operations and transactions.Manage relationships with external legal counsel and government agencies related to export compliance.QualificationsYOU MUST HAVECombination of 10 years of engineering/technical and export classification experience.Knowledge of the export regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR)Strong communication skillsAbility to work self-reliantly and manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesDedication to ethical conduct and professional integrityWE VALUEKnowledge of avionics, propulsion, and/or electronicsExperience working in a global manufacturing or technology company Experience in the development of processes, tools, guidance and training Experience in conducting compliance investigations, audits and assessments Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering compliance training.Experience managing projects and using project management toolsExperience using the Microsoft Office Tools Suite.The annual base salary range for this position is .
