Title: Benefits SupervisorComp: $130–$188K base + 10% annual bonus (paid quarterly)Location: Irvine, CA (on-site) - IrvineIf you’ve supported benefits within a 5,000+ employee organization and have hands-on experience with an enterprise-level self-insured plan, please read on.A privately held, highly profitable company is seeking a Benefits Supervisor to lead daily operations and manage a team of 3–4 Benefits professionals. Reporting to the Senior Benefits Manager, this role oversees enterprise benefits administration, compliance, vendor relationships, and open enrollment for a large multi-state workforce.This is a highly visible role partnering with HR, Finance, Payroll, Legal, and leadership to deliver competitive and compliant benefits programs within a stable and respected organization.Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 Benefits Partners and CoordinatorsOversee benefits admin - enrollments, life events, COBRA, LOA, and HRIS transactionsManage open enrollment planning, configuration, communications, and reportingPartner with brokers, consultants, vendors to ensure service quality and plan performanceEnsure compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRAoversee regulatory filings including Form 5500Manage benefits audits, nondiscrimination testing, and government reportingOversee vendor contracts, service reviews, and invoice/budget managementSupport implementation of benefits programs, system integrations, improvementsMonitor team service levels and ensure internal support metrics are metDevelop and deliver benefits communications and employee educationPartner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Legal, Marketing, and FinanceQualifications:BS/BA degree required; CEBS, PHR, or SPHR a plus7+ years of benefits experience including group benefits (health/wellness, LOA, 401k)5+ years of direct people leadership experience, heavy with people developmentExperience in supervisory role leading benefits for 5k+ employees / multi-state enviroRequired: Supervisory experience with Self-insured / self-funded health plansExperience managing brokers, vendors, renewals, audits, and compliance filingsStrong knowledge of federal and state benefits regulationsExperience with HRIS systems (Oracle preferred) and strong Excel proficiencyAbility to communicate complex benefits programs clearly to employees and leadershipBenefits & Compensation:Flexible Base Salary: $130–188k base (depends on experience)+ 10% bonus potential (paid quarterly)Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance.401(k) with profit sharing.FSA, supplemental plans, pet insurance.Adoption assistance and education reimbursement.Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm (in-office).
