Maintenance Supervisor

DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Directs and assists with repairs and maintains mechanical and electrical components on plant machinery and equipment. Includes power circuits and lighting fixtures in accordance with blueprints, manuals and electrical codes.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:•   Maintain attendance records and daily time clock punches for payroll•   Assign/Prioritize job tasks to work force daily•   24/7 coverage and response for plant and electrical equipment•   Enforce company rules and guidelines•   Administer disciplinary actions up to and including possible discharge•   Manage equipment breakdowns and repair•   Express knowledge and demonstrate responsibility for plant electrical substation and power distribution inside the plant•   Manage all electrical work to meet the NEC (code)•   Oversee all 3 shifts of operation of the plants equipment on weekends•   Manage a multi shift maintenance team.•   Responsible for electrical controls and the ability to trouble shoot and find root cause of failures•   Manage plant electrical prints, schematics, and electronic drawings•   Responsible for A/C and D/C drives and motor operations•   Responsible for starting boilers and air compressors in / after a power failure•   Monitor Duke Power substation for oil leaks•   Correct plant wide issues on / from Infra-red survey•   Conduct PM on schedule for machines and attempt to determine repeat failures•   Design controls for machine modifications•   Insure/maintain plant electrical motor spares to be satisfactory•   Review supply room items for all machinery and insures sufficient coverage•   Assist on project work / wiring as needed•   Start-up, shut-down, and knowledge of boiler operationHelpful but not required:•   Utilize laptop to troubleshoot problems on machinery•   Apply PLC programming skills to maintain operations of lines•   Utilize AutoCAD to update/modernize drawingsALL PRECISION FABRICS ASSOCIATES ARE EXPECTED TO:   •   Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.•   Must be customer oriented and ability to work with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds to achieve “win-win” outcomes.•   Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.•   Work effectively and/or independently as a team contributor on all assignments.•   Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.•   Demonstrate attention to detail. •   Understand and adhere to the Company’s “Business Policy & Code of Ethics”.AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT OF 1990 (ADA): •   Precision Fabrics Group, Inc. will make reasonable accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. This job description will be reviewed periodically as duties and responsibilities change with business necessity. Essential and marginal job functions are subject to modification.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:•   Previous maintenance experience. •   Ability to communicate to/with all associates. •   Maintenance troubleshooting experience.PHYSICAL/MENTAL/VISUAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: •   This job is conducted in a manufacturing setting and office environment.•   Work involves standing and walking up to 70% of the time. Must have ability to bend, kneel, and reach. •   Must have good vision.•   Frequent computer use, and at times, can be up to 50% of daily duties. •   Must be able to exert up to 20 - 50 lbs. of force frequently, and 50 – 100 lbs. occasionally. •   Frequently work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.•   Nosie level is monitored through a hearing conservation program•   Responsibilities will require adjusted work schedules and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines.LANGUAGE/COMUNICATION SKILLS:•   Language proficiency to read, write, understand and communicate essential job functions and safety•   Must have the skill set to create materials and make presentations to professional staff.
