Kelly Engineering is seeking a Production Supervisor to join one of our leading clients within the Chemical/Composite Manufacturing industry focused on aerospace and defense at their Anaheim, CA location.Please apply to learn more!Ideal Candidate:Minimum 3-5 years industry experience in production/manufacturing environments as a supervisor (machine shop, fabrication, composites, finishing experience preferred). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and value chainExperience troubleshooting and resolving process/equipment issues in live production while minimizing cost and preventing delivery delaysExperience implementing Lean Six Sigma and continuous-improvement initiativesExperience leading 5S/6S housekeeping, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) compliance, and root-cause analysisCompensation: $40.00 - $44.00/hrPosition OverviewThe Shift Team Lead is responsible for ensuring performance to established safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards and best practices through engagement and involvement of Production employees.This role involves supervising production employees and production lines while leading the continuous improvement process to optimize safety, quality, and productivity within defined manufacturing system and process limits.Performance ObjectivesPromote an observable culture of process safety, quality, and customer service within their organizational control.Added Value for the CandidateSignificant effort is invested in developing you for your next position within the organization.Opportunities for advancement through various technical and operational ladders.Qualifications and RequirementsEducation: Minimum High School diploma or GED required; BS (Engineering) preferred.Experience: minimum 3-5 years of experience.Preferred Skills: Lean Manufacturing.Desired SkillsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.Understanding of manufacturing processes and value chain.Ability to understand key operational metrics and communicate across organizations to achieve clear alignment and focus.Knowledge of quality systems, including ISO9001/AS9100 requirements, preferred.Proficiency in materials management, inventory control methods/procedures, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
