Class A CDL Driver

Sutter Metals is a busy metal recycling facility in Tacoma, WA and is seeking highly motivated and experienced drivers with a background in hauling scrap metals and/or heavy equipment. Operating days are Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays available, but not required. Hours are roughly 7am-4pm with overtime available. Minimum Requirements: Must hold a valid Washington Commercial Class A Driver's License. Two years experience in commercial driving preferred but not required. Aged 25 or above. Must have a driving record in Good Standing. To be in Good Standing, driver must present a current DMV report with none of the following violations: DWI, homicide, reckless driving, drugs, leaving the scene WITHIN THE LAST 3 YEARS. Positive attitude and strong customer service orientation. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers. Diligent attention to safety. Essential Duties: Safely transport scrap metals to vendor locations in timely, safe and courteous manner. Complete and maintain pre-trip inspection reports. Follow delivery instructions from Manager/Dispatcher. Holding and grasping for loading, unloading, chaining, netting, as needed. Some lifting up to 50 lbs.
