ResponsibilitiesDESCRIPTION:The Administrative Assistant I provides clerical and administrative support duties.Essential Functions Provides general clerical operational support such as preparing routine correspondence, documents, meeting agendas, and reports. Processes incoming and outgoing mail for department. Answers telephone, refers calls, and takes messages for department staff, and greets visitors. Maintains correspondence, meeting agendas, reports, and related files for the department. Schedules leadership and staff travel arrangements, meetings, and maintains department calendar. Assists department leadership and staff with data entry, such as program information and policies. Maintains office supplies and orders as needed for department. Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.Desired Qualifications Administrative or clerical support experience Experience with Microsoft Office suite.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Demonstrated skill in performing clerical tasks. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Customer service skills. Ability to access, input and retrieve data from a computer. Excellent Microsoft Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills and the ability to become proficient in Teams/Zoom. Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor. Committed to working in a multi-cultural environment.WORK ENVIRONMENT And SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS Works in an office environment. Acceptable hearing and eyesight (with or without correction).
