Battery Test Engineer, Electrical

We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.What you’ll do:Perform the systems and integration testing of prototype and certified Batteries or BMS components for the eVTOL aircraftCollaborate with BMS, Controls, Engines, Flight, Integrated, & Systems teams across the company to develop test plans and execute on those plans for flight critical hardwareSupport Regression testingSupport EMC, Short Circuit, and Electrical Design InfrastructureDevelop and test Mission Profiles on batteries Assist in developing the digital testing infrastructure for data storage and analysisAnalyze test data and share with engineering teamsDevelop automated test equipment as needed Support Production & Reliability lab electrical infrastructure designCreate reports for submission to the FAA.What you need:BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in a battery design, bms/controls, battery testing, and/or electrical/electronic design/test environmentProficient in DO-160G, DO-311A, UN 38.3 or applicable test standards for test planning, setup, and executionExperience testing Battery Pack and BMS Electrically Experience with high voltage systems: cars, aircraft, etc.Experience with a wide variety of DAQ systemsExperience with AltiumDemonstrated project execution experiencePositive can-do attitudeProficient with LabVIE or PythonProficient with CANoe, CANalyzer, PCANBonus Qualifications:Experience with Automation and Data ProcessingExperience with Polarion, JAMA, DOORS or other requirements management toolsHands-on experience wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervisionExperience with AVL, Chroma, NI, HIL environments, and/or other Test SystemsExperience with Electrical and Environmental test equipmentExperience creating reports for certification agenciesAt Archer, we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent with the skills and leadership needed to grow our business.
