Project Engineer

We are hiring a Project Engineer to work out of our Walnut Creek office! BKF has an immediate need for a project engineer with strong technical abilities and experience in land development project design. We are looking for individuals who can independently apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using their experience and judgment. Ability to plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of technical work in small to major projects. Provide assistance to senior level engineers and project managers in preparing current project status for keeping clients informed on progress and internal reporting. Supervise/coordinate and help lead the team of engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments. Responsibilities: Project Design for Site Development Grading and Drainage Plans Utility Systems for Water and Sewer Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies preparation of specifications and cost estimates Roadway/Street final design package – Plan, Profile, Cross Sections Roadway Design: Streetscape, Green Streets, Bicycle Path Plans Federal, State, City and County Standards Report Preparation and Conceptual Studies Preparation of Specifications and Quantity Takeoffs/Cost Estimates Projects include residential, commercial, mixed-use and public works projects Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in site development, design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, and roadways. B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required. To learn more click here. Pay: The typical base salary range for this position is $93,500 - $118,500 annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
