Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will develop high-fidelity computational models to predict and optimize system behavior across flight profiles, ensuring alignment with program performance and mission requirements.Learn OpenGL modeling, support, and maintain tools for telemetry visualizationLearn Digital Terrain Elevation Data (DTED) processing to support development of terrain following, terrain avoidance, and terrain-matching navigation algorithmsHelp develop telemetry processing tools to support post-flight analysisDevelop automated regression testing, unit tests, and integration tests to ensure code functionality and integrity.Assist engineering leadership in diagnosing performance issues, evaluating design trade-offs, and recommending optimizations.Prepare clear technical documentation, analysis summaries, charts, and presentations for internal reviews and external stakeholders.Contribute to process improvements, trajectory tools, optimization algorithms, or workflow enhancements.Location: Fairfax, VABase Qualifications:At least 5 years C/C++ coding experience with an understanding of algorithms (sorting, lookup tables, interpolation).Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline.Proficiency in: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, or other IDE, Git, C++ GUI development, and parsing command line parameters, and Mathematics – specifically algebra, trigonometry, and calculusU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain security clearance or background-screening requirements.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s or bachelor’s degree in software engineering or electrical engineeringAn ability to learn new things quicklyBeyond competitive pay, we offer: Full benefits from day one: medical, dental and vision401(k) with generous company match and immediate vestingPTO and Federal holidaysApply now!
