Join the Bell Nursery team this garden season (typically February through October) a physically engaging role that's ideal for people who enjoy hard work, fresh air, and making spaces look great.Why this job works if you like physical, outdoor workWork outdoors and stay active caring for plants, flowers, and landscaping goodsUse creativity and hands-on effort to set up attractive plant displays and merchandise layoutsGet free T-shirts and on-the-job training; belong to a team that values sustainabilityWhat you'll do (Merchandiser responsibilities)Unload, move, and stock live-goods shipments manually or with help including lifting and carrying up to 50 lb, and pushing/pulling carts up to ~100 lbExecute merchandising and display plans (plan-o-grams), including setting promotional adsMaintain accurate inventory, monitor watering/sustainability standards, and ensure live goods are well cared forCommunicate daily with store and Bell Nursery leadership on execution and store statusProvide basic customer service when neededWhat we're looking for (Candidate attributes)Enjoy working outdoors, being active, and doing physical workComfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, sometimes variable environmentReliable, alert, safety-conscious, with good problem-solving skillsAble to work weekends (strongly preferred), and access to dependable transportation (private or public)Comfortable using a smartphone to manage payroll/inventory apps, and communicating via text, email, or phoneQualificationsAll successful applicants should expect to undergo a screening for prohibited levels of drugs prior to beginning employment.
