Tool & Die Maker IIIDresser, WI (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=700+Kelly+Ave+Dresser+WI+USA+54009)DescriptionOVERVIEWCadrex is searching for a Tool & Die Maker III who is responsible for leading the design, fabrication, maintenance, and continuous improvement of complex tooling and die systems. This expert-level position requires mastery in all aspects of tool and die making, including precision machining, CAD/CAM, and troubleshooting. The Tool & Die Maker III plays a critical role in mentoring junior team members, collaborating with engineering and production teams, and driving tooling innovation to support operational excellence.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSet up and operate machine tools such as CNC & manual mills, lathes, drills, and grinders to machine parts to specificationsComputes dimensions, plans or schedules machining, layout, and assembly operations of new progressive and stage toolingDevelop and coordinate build schedules to meet established timelinesTroubleshoot and resolve complex die issues, making precise adjustments to meet or exceed production quality and efficiency standardsPerform advanced preventative and corrective die maintenance tasks with a high level of independence and accuracyFits and assembles mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components into tooling as required new and existing applicationsAbility to build jigs, gauges, and fixtures from verbal or written instructionLead cross-functional teams in the execution of complex die, fixture, or machine builds, ensuring alignment with technical and production requirementsChampion and guide continuous improvement initiatives across production departments, identifying and implementing process and tooling enhancementsServe as mentor and technical resource for less experienced machinists and tool & die makersRequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS5+ years' experience in building/maintaining metal stamping and progressive dies preferredBasic blueprint reading and interpretationAbility to troubleshoot and repair tools and equipmentPrior experience with CNC machines, programming, or Cad software useful but not requiredCollaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating the ability to work independently and prioritize tasksContinuously assesses personal skill development, actively seek opportunities for growth, and share expertise to support team successProficient with basic computer skills for documentation of work orders and maintenance logsAbility to stand/walk for extended periods (8-9 hours per day)EDUCATIONHigh School DiplomaOne year certificate or diploma from a college or technical school in metal trades preferredLOCATIONOnsiteSCHEDULEMonday-Thursday; 5:30am to 4:00pmTOTAL COMPENSATION INCLUDESHealth/dental/vision coverageEmployer-paid and supplemental life insuranceShort- and long-term disability insuranceGenerous paid time off and holiday payMonthly remote work stipend (for remote employees who qualify)401(k) investment plan, with an employer match of up to 4%Education support programSafety eyeglasses/shoe reimbursementReferral bonusesBonus plan for all full-time employeesWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
