Litigation Legal Assistant, Downtown San Jose

Adams & Martin Group is working with a well established civil litigation firm to identify a Litigation Legal Assistant for its downtown San Jose office. This full time, onsite role supports a high volume civil litigation practice and is well suited for a detail oriented professional with solid state and federal litigation experience and strong organizational skills.Responsibilities:Attorney & Litigation SupportProvide day to day administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling civil litigation mattersSupport all phases of litigation with a strong understanding of state and federal court proceduresServe as a reliable point of contact for attorneys, assisting with workflow management and case progression Document Preparation & FilingPrepare, format, revise, and finalize pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documentsProofread documents for accuracy and compliance with court rulesFile and serve documents in California state and federal courts, including e filing Case & File ManagementMaintain and organize electronic and physical case filesAssist with opening, maintaining, and closing matters in accordance with firm proceduresSupport document management and e discovery processes as needed Scheduling & Calendar ManagementManage complex litigation calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and meetingsEnsure all critical dates are accurately calendared and communicated Client, Court & Internal CommunicationCommunicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and vendorsDemonstrate strong written and verbal communication in all interactions Special Projects & Administrative SupportAssist attorneys with case related projects, document comparisons, and proofreadingProvide general administrative support as needed to support litigation workflows Qualifications4 to 5 years of civil litigation legal assistant experience requiredStrong working knowledge of state and federal litigation proceduresExcellent calendaring and deadline management skillsStrong communication, organization, and time management abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with legal case management and document systems is a plusAbility to work onsite full time in a collaborative, professional office environment Work EnvironmentOnsite role located in downtown San JoseSchedule: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Please submit your resume for confidential consideration.
