We are preparing for the growth of our Neurosurgery service line over the next two years in preparation for the opening of our 3 rdhospital in North Port, Florida. Anticipated opening date is Fall 2028. This newly created position will be based at Sarasota Memorial Hospital - Venice and will involve a nice mix of inpatient, outpatient, and OR job duties and responsibilities. SMH-VeniceHospitalis located on a 65-acre campus and features212 private patient suites, a 61-bed emergency care center, and 8 surgical suites .SMH-Venicewas designed witha growing communityin mind and a master plan of providing400 private inpatient suitesin the future with complementary sized emergency room and surgical services to ensure quality care and access. SMH-Venice offers south county residents more convenient access to the top-ranked care and surgical treatment Sarasota Memorial is known for. Position Highlights: Join a team of 5 surgeons and 5 APPs. Monday - Friday Schedule PA-C will be responsible for hospital consultations, follow-ups and first assist in the OR as needed. Outpatient follow-up in a clinic setting is in process of being explored. Provide remote administrative assistance to PAs working in the clinic. Optional call responsibility. Requirements: Current NCCPA Certification. Active or eligible forlicensure by the State of Florida. BLS and ACLS certification. Neurology experience with surgery preferred.
