It includes supporting at-risk populations, coordinating targeted programs, and ensuring progress toward academic goals.Job DescriptionServes as a main point of contact for students on revenue producing sports who pose high academic retention risks, providing complex organizational information about educational options, academic requirements, and institutional resources and addressing their needs.Supports student programs and facilitates individual student success interventions designed for targeted student populations, such as students who are deemed as academically at-risk, have diagnosed learning disabilities, including but not limited to students who are first-year, transfer, first-generation, and/or high financial need.Tracks grades, academic progress and meet regularly with coaches to provide updates.Meets with prospective student-athletes/families with coaching staffs via unofficial and official visits to campus.Provide leadership, guidance, training and supervision to full and part-time employees, including but not limited to graduate assistants, tutors.Lead, direct and assist in the development and facilitation of program operations and components.Assist with providing leadership for the center with direct oversight of academic counseling and academic enrichment areas, while serving on primary leadership team assisting in the administration of key program initiatives.Requires a non-traditional work schedule, including evenings, weekends and overnight travel.Expectation is to assist students in achieving academic success and maintaining athletic eligibility while persisting.Job ResponsibilitiesCoordinates and participates in assigned special and recurring projects and programs to include planning, development, implementation and evaluation of tutorial program.Substitution Statement: An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role.
