An internship is also a great way to begin your career at Warren Averett while networking with other young professionals.ResponsibilitiesAssist with IT general controls (ITGC) testing and documentation as part of financial statement auditsSupport SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations through control testing, evidence review, and documentation of testing proceduresAssist with internal controls and business process review engagements, including documentation of process narratives, flow diagrams, and risk/control matricesPerform control testing across financial reporting, operational, and IT areasBuild collaborative relationships with team members and clients by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively and professionallyQualificationsPursuing Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceFamiliarity with basic internal control concepts is helpful but not required; training will be provided on applicable best practice control frameworksGenuine curiosity about technology and how it intersects with business risk and controls — no prior IT audit experience requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteCPA or CIA (or progression to) preferredWorks well on a team but can also manage work individuallySelf starter, with attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsWarren Averett is an equal opportunity employer.
