Job Title: UX Designer IILocation: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)Job type: Contractor, 40 hrs/weekExperience Level: 2+ YearsResponsibilitiesOwn UX Design for key segments of our retail software, including point-of-sale and back-office platforms, from initial concepts to final visuals and handoffCreate wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows to effectively communicate interaction and design ideasCarry out research, including usability testing and translate insights into informed designsPresent & defend designs to key stakeholdersCollaborate with product managers and engineers to define problems, gather requirements, and ensure designs are executed properlyMaintain and contribute to design libraries to ensure a cohesive and consistent UI across platformsProduce high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and interaction specs using FigmaWork with your Design Manager to balance user needs with business goals, technical constraints, and platform guidelinesManage your design pipeline & milestones, including scoping and timelines with minimal oversightBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or equivalent work experience2+ years of UX/UI design experience for touch screenStrong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking, research, interaction design, and UI design skillsSolid understanding of usability principles, design systems, and accessibility standardsProficiency in Figma for creating responsive designs and prototypesProactive and comfortable managing your own projectsValues feedback, professional growth, and working in a collaborative, global teamPreferred QualificationsExperience designing for POS systems, retail inventory tools, or back-office platforms, especially for global marketsOrganized and detail-oriented in documentation, project tracking and stakeholder managementDemonstrates strong communication skills and has an ability to uncover latent user needs and anticipate gaps early in design processExperience facilitating customer interviews and/or workshops
