The future of cybersecurity starts with you.About The Role:CrowdStrike is establishing a FinOps practice to drive sustainable cost management across our fourteen product groups and eleven platform groups. The FinOps Lead will serve as the strategic leader and primary champion of this practice, establishing vision, strategy, while ensuring cost efficiency continues beyond our FY27 Cost Reduction Program.PLEASE NOTE: This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site at one of the posted locations.What You'll Do:Strategic LeadershipEstablish and champion the FinOps vision, strategy, across the engineering organizationDrive FinOps capability maturity across all Cloud Cost Management Framework pillars (Understand, Quantify, Optimize)Serve as primary liaison between Engineering, Finance, and Executive Leadership on cost management initiativesParticipate in Infrastructure Foundations Program Management governance to ensure alignment with FY27 Cost Reduction ProgramReport FinOps metrics, outcomes, and strategic recommendations to senior leadershipOrganizational CoordinationCoordinate FinOps activities across fourteen product groups and eleven platform groups in our matrix organizationFacilitate allocation methodology discussions between platform and product groupsEnsure consistency in cost reporting and optimization approaches across all groupsLead the FinOps Working Group with representatives from key product and platform groupsBuild and maintain relationships with product group-specific program managersCapability DevelopmentDefine and prioritize FinOps capability development roadmap aligned with organizational needsDrive changes toward cost-conscious engineering across the entire organizationEstablish FinOps governance structures, policies, and standardsCollaborate with Data Analytics Team on TechOps Analytics Data Solution FinOps requirementsPartner with Infrastructure Foundations PgM to ensure no duplication and clear handoffsTeam LeadershipBuild, lead, and mentor the FinOps core team (Senior FinOps Analyst, FinOps Analyst, FinOps Engineer, FinOps Program Manager)Manage FinOps budget and resource allocationEstablish regular cadences for team operations, stakeholder engagement, and executive reportingFoster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvementWhat You'll Need:Required Qualifications7+ years of experience in cloud cost management, engineering leadership, or related fieldDeep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their pricing modelsExtensive experience with technologies such as Tableau, Superset and Power BIProven experience navigating complex matrix organizations and building cross-functional partnershipsStrong stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to influence at all organizational levelsTechnical credibility with engineering teams and ability to understand infrastructure and application architecturesExperience establishing and maturing organizational practices or centers of excellencePreferred Qualifications:FinOps Certified Professional certification Experience in cybersecurity or SaaS industryBackground in both engineering and finance/business functionsExperience with data center operations and hybrid cloud environmentsFamiliarity with commitment-based discount programs (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, CUDs)Track record of delivering measurable cost optimization resultsKey Competencies:Strategic thinking with ability to position near-term wins and long-term capability buildingExceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesData-driven decision making with strong analytical capabilitiesCollaborative leadership style that builds consensus and drives actionComfort with ambiguity and ability to establish structure in emerging practice areasThis role will require the candidate to periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint check(s) consistent with government customer requirements.Benefits Of Working At CrowdStrike:Market leader in compensation and equity awardsComprehensive physical and mental wellness programs Competitive vacation and holidays for recharge Paid parental and adoption leavesProfessional development opportunities for all employees regardless of level or roleEmployee Networks, geographic neighborhood groups, and volunteer opportunities to build connectionsVibrant office culture with world class amenitiesGreat Place to Work Certified™ across the globeCrowdStrike is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
