Plantation Hall Associate - Event Staff
DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Plantation Hall Associate – Event Staff supports the successful execution of events at Plantation Hall, a premier venue hosting events up to 2,000 guests.This role is responsible for assisting with event setup, providing attentive guest support during events, and completing post-event teardown and cleanup. Plantation Hall Associates play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe, and memorable experience for all guests.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with room setup according to event floorplans and specifications.Arrange tables, chairs, linens, décor elements, staging, and other event equipment.Set up food service stations, beverage areas, and guest service spaces as directed.Ensure the facility is clean, organized, and guest-ready prior to event starting.Follow all safety guidelines during equipment movement and setup.Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner.Provide directions and assistance to guests as needed.Monitor event spaces to ensure cleanliness and safety throughout the event.Replenish supplies and assist service staff when necessary.Respond promptly to minor guest needs and communicate larger issues to management.Uphold the hospitality standards of Huber’s Orchard & Winery at all times.Assist with breakdown of tables, chairs, décor, staging, and equipment.Properly store event materials and return spaces to standard layout.Perform cleaning tasks including trash removal, sweeping, and resetting event spaces.Report any damage or maintenance needs to management.Follow occupancy limits, alcohol service policies, and safety procedures.Maintain a clean and professional appearance.Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient event execution.Handle equipment responsibly and use proper lifting techniques.QualificationsQualificationsPrevious hospitality or event experience preferred but not required.Strong work ethic and positive attitude.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Strong communication and guest service skills.Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons as scheduled.Ability to stand for extended periods in a hot fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
