Job Full DescriptionBlender / Blending TechnicianHarahan, LAKey ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate blending equipment (horizontal ribbon blenders, etc.)Accurately weigh and add ingredients into blenders per batch ticket/formulasObserve blending process and monitor machinery for proper operationFollow SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and sanitation protocolsAssist with equipment cleaning, maintenance, change-overs, wash-downsReport defects or equipment issues promptly; escalate as neededQualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or GED preferredBasic math literacy and ability to use production rate weights accuratelyAbility to lift and move up to 50 lb ingredients/palletsFlexibility to work overtime, weekends or third shiftsTeam player with strong attention to safety and detailSeeking someone with leadership qualities willing to step up in the role with lots of room for growthPhysical & Environmental ConditionsWarehouse or production floor setting, climate-controlled but may involve high noise and dust levelsExposure to cleaning chemicals and food-grade sanitation agentsMust comply with food safety, sanitation, and environmental regulationsStanding for long periods; frequent bending, lifting, and walkingWork Schedule & CompensationFull-time1st shift 6am - 2pm2nd shift 2pm - 10pmMetairie, LA 2162 701 David Drive Suite A Metairie, LA 70003
