Inventory Specialist

Join Our Team as an Inventory Specialist at Plato's Closet! Do you enjoy focusing on one task at a time, paying close attention to details, moving at a fast pace, working with clothing, and having autonomy in your position? If so, you could be a great fit for our Inventory Specialist position at Plato's Closet! At Plato's, we buy and sell teen and young adult clothing. All day, customers bring in clothing to sell to us. After we purchase it, we work a lot of magic behind the scenes to sell it, and our Inventory Specialists are the special task force that process that inventory. As an Inventory Specialist, you'll be primarily responsible for ensuring clothing we purchase gets priced, organized, and put out onto the floor as quickly as possible for our customers to browse. We don't believe in micro-managing, so you'll need to be someone who can take initiative and move efficiently to complete the task. This is not a desk job. You'll be on your feet all day, every day, constantly processing inventory from the back room to the sales floor. Responsibilities: Ensure proper inventory systems are being followed Quickly tag clothing after its purchased Quickly organize and get clothing out to the sales floor for customers to browse Backstock/clearance clothing that didn't sell Help coordinate and execute floorset swaps (such as changing from our Fall/Winter floorset to our Spring floorset) Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment and sales Requirements: Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment Ability to complete complex tasks with minimal direction Ability to think on your feet and make good judgment calls Strong organizational skills Strong communication skills Excellent attention to detail Proficient in using computers and following training material If you'd enjoy being in this type of environment, we'd love to hear from you!
