Learn more at www.coopervision.com .Job Summary:Within established guidelines, performs various functions associated with packaging and distribution of contact lenses. Functions include operation of a packaging machine, picking orders (manual or automated), shipping orders, and packing of stock orders. These operations are of a repetitive nature and require training within the scope of an approved SOP. Works in a team environment.ResponsibilitiesVerifies product is labeled accurately and conforms to quality standards by following SOP’s. Performs packaging job functions, such as operating an automated packaging machine, machine set-up and adjustments, and changeovers.Performs activities such as directed product put away and directed picking utilizing RF guns and/or automated sorting equipment.Prepare orders for domestic shipment including checking for accuracy (product and quantity) against shipping order, final packaging and labeling shipping container. Prepare orders for international shipment including any specific customs documentation required, utilizing Excel spreadsheets and carrier websites for processing.Packing of stock orders (MTS or silverstock) in preparation for shipment to other packaging and/or distribution locations.Work to established procedures, performs all operations and final packaging of product to meet or exceed established KPIs. Understands, acknowledges, and follows quality requirements, safety policies, and other company policies.Seeks assistance from coordinator/supervisor in identifying and reporting problems or concerns relating to job function.Adapts readily to changes in workload, staffing and scheduling.As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime.Performs other duties as required.15% per hour shift differential.Travel: This position does not require travel.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Exhibits good communication skills – verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate level preferred), and Microsoft Outlook. Must have a good understanding of CGMP’s and SOP’s Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Experience with basic course work in mathematics, PC and business understanding or equivalent training and/or experience required. Basic computer skills necessary for packaging and shipping software and HMI interaction required. Ability and dexterity to handle small items. Hand/eye coordination - > 75% Finger/wrist dexterity - > 75% Grasping/pinching - > 75% Use of a pallet jack - Experience: Ability to perform basic mathematic and problem-solving skills within a team-based environment. PC Skills/knowledge/experience or equivalent training required. Previous packaging and distribution experience preferred. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.
