Cloud Engineer

Softek is recruiting for a program supporting the Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (DHS/CISA). The program delivers AI/ML-enabled applications, automation, and cloud data engineering on an AWS and Databricks platform, with an emphasis on secure, vendor-agnostic design. Work is performed remotely from the contractor site with occasional travel to the Washington, DC area.Duties and ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain cloud-native applications, APIs, and automated data pipelines on AWS and Databricks.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated tests, and deployment workflows.Support AI/ML and automation features, including LLM and agent-based components, under the direction of the senior engineer.Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and release readiness activities.Required QualificationsThree or more years of software or cloud engineering experience.Working experience with Python, SQL, and AWS services; exposure to Databricks or Spark.Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD tools.Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.Preferred QualificationsAWS or Databricks certification.Experience with Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes.About SoftekSoftek is a DHS prime contractor delivering program management, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and cloud and data engineering services to federal agencies.
