Software Engineer
We are partnering with an established enterprise organization seeking Software Engineers at both the mid-level and senior level to join a collaborative, Agile development team. These roles will contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise applications while partnering with cross-functional business and technology teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.The ideal candidates are strong Java developers with experience building modern applications using Spring Boot. Senior-level engineers will also provide technical leadership, contribute to architectural decisions, and help drive cloud-native development and modern engineering practices. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring two days per week onsite in either the Reading, PA or Tampa, FL office.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot.Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver scalable software solutions.Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and work with relational databases to support application performance and reporting needs.Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, code reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to development standards and best practices.Support CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment processes.Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams on application deployments and release management.(Senior Level) Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architecture, design patterns, and technology direction.(Senior Level) Help drive cloud-native application development, containerization, and modern engineering practices while partnering with cross-functional technical and business teams.Stay current on emerging technologies, including cloud platforms and AI-enabled development practices.RequirementsSoftware Engineer I5–7 years of hands-on software engineering experience.Strong Java development experience with Spring Boot.Experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.Experience working within Agile software development teams.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Experience with software quality practices, testing, and incident resolution.Exposure to cloud technologies and AI-enabled solutions is a plus.Software Engineer II8–10+ years of software engineering experience.Expert-level Java and Spring Boot development experience.Experience designing and implementing scalable enterprise applications.Demonstrated knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.Experience with cloud platforms, container technologies (such as OpenShift), and CI/CD pipelines.Full-stack development experience preferred.Understanding of data, analytics, business intelligence, and AI/ML-enabled solutions.Proven ability to lead technical discussions, influence architectural decisions, and collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
