Technical Writer, B2B SaaS

Job Description: Work with engineering and product teams to create documentation for new product features, API updates, and integrations.Develop long-term content strategies that organize and make documentation easily discoverable for developers.Ensure content accuracy and clarity by conducting regular content reviews and maintaining high documentation standards.Work with engineering, product, customer support, and other partners to ensure technical content meets the needs of users and developers.Establish writing best practices for internal and external documentation to ensure consistency and usability.Identify areas for improvement in existing content and processes and implement enhancements to improve documentation workflows.Requirements: 5+ years of experience in Technical Writing, especially within B2B SaaS environments.Experience translating complex concepts into concise documentation.Expertise in API documentation and an understanding of software development processes.Proficiency with tools such as Markdown, Git, and JIRA.Experience with modern development workflows and an ability to work within a 'docs-as-code' environment.Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.Comfortable collaborating with technical teams, including developers, engineers, and product managers.Experience writing about one or more backend languages like Ruby, Go, Python, PHP, Node, or Java.The ability to read front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Experience with documentation generation tools and automation, and experience using AI tools to help identify changes, drift, and errors in documentation.An understanding of user experience principles, content design, and accessibility in technical writing.Experience with large-scale information architecture projects.Experience learning new technologies and documenting the latest software products.Benefits: Great compensation package and bonus planCore benefits including medical, dental, vision, and matching 401KFlexible work environment, ability to work remote, hybrid or in-officeFlexible time off including volunteer time off, vacation, sick and 12-paid holidays
