Experienced Pet Care Technician Do you love animals and want to build a real career in pet care? We're looking for an Experienced Pet Care Technician with strong potential to grow into a Lead Pet Care Technician.This is a great opportunity for someone who loves hands-on animal care, works well with people, and is ready to grow into a leadership position. This role is ideal for someone ready to grow into a Lead position and build a long-term career in pet care. In this role, you'll help care for dogs, cats, and other family pets while supporting the team on your shift and helping ensure excellent care for every animal while they are with us.As an Experienced Pet Care Technician/Lead-in-Training, you will provide daily care for pets while helping guide and support other Pet Care Technicians on your shift. You'll help make sure pets are safe, comfortable, well cared for, and that daily tasks are completed in an organized and timely way.ResponsibilitiesCare for dogs, cats, and other family pets while they are with usAdminister medications as directedPrepare and serve food according to customer instructionsMonitor pets for health, comfort, and behavior concernsHelp keep the team organized, focused, and on task during the shiftCommunicate with customers about their pets and share updatesReport health or behavior concerns to leadership promptlyQualificationsAt least 1 year of experience in pet care, boarding, or a similar rolePrevious supervisory or leadership experience preferredExperience administering medications to dogs and cats, including pills, injections, and fluidsMust possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving recordKnowledge of animal first aid strongly preferredDegree in an animal-related field is a plus, but not required (past on-the-job training is highly valued)Able to work a variety of shifts and hoursAble to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, lifting, bending, cleaning, and handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperamentsA strong desire to build a career in the pet care and boarding industryBenefitsEmployee discounts on products and servicesHealth insurance for employees who qualify based on hours and length of employmentReferences made available upon request.
