Medical Assistant - Lead

Clinical ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, medication lists, and chief complaintsAssist physicians and advanced practice providers with ENT examinations and proceduresPrepare and maintain exam and procedure roomsPerform clinical tasks including injections, ear lavages, specimen collection, dressing changes, and point-of-care testing as permitted by state regulationsAssist with in-office procedures such as nasal endoscopy, cerumen removal, allergy testing, and minor surgical proceduresSterilize instruments and maintain infection control standardsEducate patients on medications, treatment plans, post-procedure care, and follow-up instructionsProcess prescription refills, referrals, prior authorizations, and lab resultssupport medical assistants and clinical support staffCoordinate daily clinic workflow to maintain efficiency and patient flowTrain and onboard new employees on office procedures and EMR documentation standardsMonitor staff performance and provide coaching when neededServe as a liaison between providers, clinical staff, and office managementEnsure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic policies and proceduresAssist with scheduling coverage and resolving workflow issues during busy clinic hoursMaintain adequate clinical supplies and coordinate inventory managementAdministrative ResponsibilitiesDocument accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) systemManage patient messages, phone calls, and provider requests in a timely mannerSupport quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction effortsAssist with chart preparation and provider schedulesQualificationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCertified or Registered Medical Assistant preferredMinimum of 3–5 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in ENT or another specialty practicePrior leadership or supervisory experience preferredStrong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical proceduresExperience with EMR systems and Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skillsAbility to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical environment
