Manager, Fund Data and Performance

Hiring firm is an investment manager focused primarily within Venture Capital. The Company is seeking a Data Manager to oversee a comprehensive data strategy program. This will be the first hire focused holistically on our data management program. The Data Manager will report to the Partner, COO & CFO.Essential Responsibilities:Manage a comprehensive data strategy program that aligns with business outcomes across the company; including enhancements and maintenance of current products and recommendations for new productsCollaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and client experience improvementsSupports teams in understanding and properly utilizing data assetsIdentify data quality issues and work with data owners to resolve themCollaborate with cross functional teams to define product requirements and prioritize feature developmentsIdentify and manage external consultants as needed to build or maintain productsLiaise with the company’s compliance team to maintain a data governance program, including data quality management and record retentionRequired Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of data management tools, including Tableau, Power BI, and other relevant software.Understanding of investment management (ideally venture capital) industry and relevant sources (eg. Pitchbook, Preqin, etc.)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly organized workload planning and able to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesDemonstrates a commitment to teamwork and transparent communicationStrong work ethic and motivated to meet objectivesStrong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills with high attention to detailEducation and Experience:A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience that demonstrates progressive increase in responsibilitiesBachelor's degree or equivalent required
